The public sector policy makers and designers usually don't speak the same language. André Schaminée wrote a book that tries to bridge the gap between them.
This book came together in quite a fluid and dynamic way. Most of the text wasn't written and it was up to my design to also guide the shape and parts of the content of the text. Because of this the book was an exercise in design thinking. André and I worked together closely and played around a lot with both lay-out and text to tell this story on design thinking.
The book draws from a playground. and wants to stay close to these metaphors. As such it's designed as a text book to be used for education. The cover references playground lines representing both designers and public sector innovators. Every chapter ends with a conclusion that wraps up all content and is a nice clear overview of it also.
